About FocusLog

FocusLog was founded on a simple realization: manual timesheet logging is a broken workflow.

As developers and freelancers, we spent years forgetting to start clocks on Toggl or stop timers on Clockify. We were too focused on writing code and designing layouts to micro-manage timing software. When Friday came, we faced empty timesheets and guessed client invoices.

Our Philosophy

Existing "automatic" trackers had two massive flaws. First, they mapped everything without context—listing "4 hours on GitHub" without knowing if it was personal open-source coding or client work. Second, they sent detailed browsing histories to remote cloud servers, creating severe privacy issues for developers.

FocusLog was built to solve both:

• Automatic Project Context: Map specific domains (or paths) to client accounts once. The background extension handles the rest.
• Local-First: No registration, no databases in the cloud, and zero logs sent to any external server. All metrics remain on your own computer.
