At FocusLog, we believe your browsing habits and time logs are your own business. We have engineered the FocusLog Chrome extension and landing site to gather exactly zero logs.

1. Core Privacy Tenets

• No External Servers: FocusLog does not send your tracking data, visited URLs, active times, or projects to any external servers or APIs.
• No Account Required: You do not need to register, sign in, or provide an email address to use the standard FocusLog features.
• 100% Local Storage: All times, domains, project configurations, and settings are saved inside your browser's local sandbox using chrome.storage.local and chrome.storage.session.

2. Chrome Extension Permissions

FocusLog requests specific permissions during installation. Here is why we need them:

• tabs: To identify active tab URL updates and map them to your project filters. We do not read the page contents.
• storage: To save your settings and project logs locally.
• idle: To pause tracking when your system has had no keyboard/mouse interactions for 5 minutes.
• alarms: To trigger background worker wake-ups so active session totals remain accurate.
• notifications: To trigger daily goal alerts (configurable).

3. Data Deletion

Since all tracking data is saved locally, you have total control over it. You can clear your logs at any time by clicking "Delete All Logs" inside the extension settings panel, or by uninstalling the extension. Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered.

4. Subscription Simulation (Pro Mode)

FocusLog Pro simulation toggle in options utilizes local browser storage settings only. It stores your Pro simulation flag inside your local browser storage. No real billing integrations are called in this version.
